Happy New Year! Nora went to the temple this weekend with Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa to celebrate the arrival of 2010:

Pay no mind to the weird look on Nora's face. It was windy and FREEZING.
Now that the New Year is here, we are all very ready for Nora’s baby brother to arrive. His room is ready:

And Lisa is enormous and cranky:

(This picture was taken on Christmas Eve, so imagine an additional week and a half of enormity and crankiness on top of this).
Baby Pool: Have a guess for when the baby will be born? Put it in the comments. The person that guesses closest gets two movie tickets. We’ll edit this post periodically to list your guesses. Mare’s guess is already here because she claimed her date several months ago.
(Remember, the baby is due on the 12th. As a data point, Nora was born 6 days after her official due date and 9 days after the due date that we know was correct). Have fun!
EDIT: Rules, updated. We decided that if you picked a day that someone also picked, the winner will be decided by a coin toss, with the number of flips based on the day #2 is born. For instance, if #2 is born on the 10th, 10 coin flips will decide the winner. If you want to change your selection, note it in the comments.
January 8th – Diane (Sorry, Diane… but we appreciated the optimism!)
January 9th – Kathy M., Benjamin (No birthday-sharing with Kathy, alas).
January 10th – Michael, Bonnie (Sorry, guys).
January 11th – Ilana, Matt (No early baby for us, I guess).
January 12th – Ray (No on-time baby for us, either. Grr).
January 13th – Mare (Now I’m just getting cranky…)
January 14th – Jeff, Donna (Perhaps the title of our latest blog entry jinxed things…)
January 15th – Sarah H., Lauren (Sigh).
January 16th – Grandma (This is getting ridiculous…)
January 17th – Grandpa, Aunt Cathy and Uncle Bill (You know those people who say that second babies are always earlier than first babies? Liars. All of them. This baby would have had to be born today to be earlier than Nora. If he’s born tomorrow, he’ll be just as late as Nora was. If he’s born after tomorrow, he’ll be LATER than Nora was. Just so you know).
January 20th – Judi (It looks like you all lose. But don’t worry; the real loser here is me. I am so miserable).
